Writer, photographer, documentarian & web dude, who's just a bit off center :)
I'm a Bay Area native from East San Jose, CA for over 50 years, who's worked at the speed of the corporate world for over 25 years and working in a creative capacity for the last 10 years.
As a writer, I started covering college sports in 2017 (Twitter). I also gravitate to stories of social good and social awareness (Latino socio-cultural arts documentary). Collective experiences have enabled me to understand a variety of concepts to convey, inform and story-tell (though my wife says I usually overthink things :) "Why I write"
As a photographer, I shoot for the San Francisco 49ers, SBNation, Getty Images, Newsbreak.com and various venues. I also photograph occasional engagements and weddings when family and friends flatter me enough ;)
As a web content creator in life sciences, my content work contributes to advocating for patient health & well-being.
As a documentary producer, I combine all of the above to work with unbelievably talented, caring, smart, tough activists who deserve to have their stories artfully and organically told. It's a continuous learning process & labor of love.
One comment I often get - "You do a lot of things!" Yes - always have - probably, always will. Maybe it's "life-balance" or having a mind that doesn't shut off. Or I'm just a fish that needs to swim to breath:)
